About This Role
This position supports the financial management of a significant road restoration initiative in regional NSW. The project aims to rebuild critical transport infrastructure damaged by drought, bushfires, and flooding. As part of a project management consultancy, you'll provide essential financial expertise to help deliver this vital community asset on time and budget.
* Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes for the project
* Operate and support financial systems including TechnologyOne and reporting tools
* Coordinate financial claims and reporting with government funding bodies
* Liaise with project management, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records
* Assist with financial system upgrades, troubleshooting, and training for project staff
* Prepare regular financial status reports and support risk and performance monitoring
* Support overall financial governance aligned with project and client requirements
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or relevant experience
* Experience in corporate financial systems and project accounting
* Strong skills in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within consultancy teams
* Good communication and negotiation skills
* Current driver's license
* Experience with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems preferred
* Knowledge of government funding and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements desirable
* Postgraduate qualifications or professional memberships (CPA, CA, IPA) advantageous
