Senior Social Workers – Fixed-Term Project Roles
FDV Coordinated Response & Transforming Police Reporting Pathways
Join us in creating safer futures.
At Waratah, we walk alongside people in their most vulnerable moments. We believe in the possibility of healing, the power of safety, and the strength of a community that shows up with integrity and compassion.
We are inviting Senior Social Workers to join our team in specialist project roles that will shape how our community responds to family and domestic violence (FDV) and sexual violence. If you are driven by purpose and ready to make a meaningful system-level impact, we would love to hear from you.
Your Impact
1. FDV Coordinated Response Service (CRS)
You will help carry the responsibility of bringing services together—police, community agencies, and support networks—to create coordinated, trauma‑informed responses for women, men and children experiencing violence. Your leadership will help strengthen the safety net around those who need it most.
2. Transforming Reporting Pathways
You will contribute to projects that reimagine the experience of reporting DV and sexual violence to police. Your insight and advocacy will help build pathways that are safer, more accessible, and grounded in dignity and respect for victim‑survivors.
We Offer
* Meaningful fixed‑term employment in a values‑led not‑for‑profit
* A workplace where your voice, wisdom and practice experience truly matter
* Flexible work options
* Supportive leadership, strong clinical governance and reflective practice
* The chance to influence real, lasting systemic change
About You
You are a seasoned practitioner with deep experience in FDV, sexual violence and trauma‑informed work. You bring courage, humility and strong professional judgement. You know how to partner with people, families and systems—and you believe change is possible.
Why Waratah?
Because what we do matters. Every conversation, every collaboration, every advocacy effort ripples outward into safer homes and stronger communities. Here, your work becomes part of something bigger: a commitment to reducing violence, promoting justice, and holding space for people to reclaim their lives.
