About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to provide financial guidance and play a role in managing bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

Requirements
* Excellent management & people skills with a focus on verbal and written communication skills
* Must have proven experience in cloud based accounting platforms such as Xero & MYOB (most of our clients use Xero, this is preferred)
* Experience with Cloud Accounting Software add-on products such as Dext, Hubdoc and Shopify as examples is highly desirable.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
* Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within accounting or advisory firm.
Job Responsibilities
* Conduct onboarding sessions to understand client bookkeeping requirements, business processes, and technology stack (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
* Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and timely completion of work.
* Oversee and manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing for multiple clients, with support from junior bookkeeping staff.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws, GST, PAYG, and other relevant regulations.
* Providing financial insights to help clients improve financial performance and business outcomes.
* Identify and implement streamlined systems and processes.
* Supervise and review work completed by junior bookkeepers and support staff.
