About the Role Join a leading telecommunications and technology company as an Assistant Security Officer under the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). You will support the Chief Security Officer and Protective Security team lead in ensuring compliance with DISP requirements, managing security clearances, and maintaining robust security protocols. Key Responsibilities Manage the DISP security clearance process, including application reviews, commonwealth approvals, and record-keeping. Maintain personnel, information, and physical security records, including security incident reporting and travel documentation. Develop and maintain Security Standing Orders and security registers, including key management. Conduct security awareness programs, facilitate training, and ensure distribution of security awareness materials. Provide security advice, coordinate project security, and assist with access control and asset protection. Ensure adherence to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and company document management standards. Qualifications and Experience Australian citizenship and a current or recently held Positive Vetting security clearance. Knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). Experience in a government security environment, with preference for military experience or understanding. Understanding of Commonwealth security processes, IT certification, and zone room construction. Proven ability to maintain fastidious documentation and customer reporting. Competencies High degree of organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, including Defence and Federal customers. Why Join?
