TENANCY OFFICER This is a fantastic 12 month contract opportunity to work with an innovative not-for-profit housing organisation which provides affordable housing for vulnerable and disadvantaged people on low incomes.Customers are at the centre of how they approach their work.
As a highly valued Tenancy Officer this role involves managing vacant properties effectively and efficiently and includes the following key responsibilties: Providing a highly responsive and flexible tenancy management service Property inspections including follow up work regarding health and safety matters Managing rents in accordance with the Act and conducting regular rent reviews in accordance with policy requirements Support tenant consultation and encouraging to provide feedback Identifying vacant properties in a proactive manner and advising relevant staff of impending vacancies.
Using the Chintaro database to keep up to date information, entering data accurately Monitor maintenance follow up Residential Tenancy Tribunal hearings and liaise with support workers where appropriate Providing prospective tenants the appropriate information and documentation in a timely manner Ensuing that tenants sign all relevant information and pay all monies required prior to moving into a property In this role you will be be someone who: Has police, working with children and vulnerable persons employment checks A current SA driver's Licence – ongoing requirement Has a minimum of 3 years experience working in property management as a Tenancy Officer / Property Manager incorporating the full range of residential property management activities Relevant qualification, preferably Property Management Certificate Has excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to work with vulnerable and disadvantaged people Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and tribunal processes Can provide a quality customer service taking into account individual circumstances and capacity Be knowledgeable about local services and connecting people to supports and community to facilitate successful tenancy and neighbourhood outcomes Organised and complaint - complying with the requirements of the Residential Tenancies Act and the National Regulatory System for Community Housing Someone who aims to continually improve how things are done and keeping people safe Has computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of products and tenancy databases Whats on Offer?
