Job Description
The Planetary Health Centre seeks a highly skilled Conference and Events Coordinator to manage conferences and events at the centre. The ideal candidate will have a history of organizing international events, conferences, and trade shows with a focus on planetary health.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for organizing at least two conferences annually, as well as coordinating other events at the centre. You will develop relationships with relevant organizations to promote the Planetary Health Centre's reputation globally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic thinking and business skills to guide programming that responds to the mission of the Planetary Health Centre.
* Excellent negotiation skills to obtain sponsorships and develop partnerships.
* Administration skills including proficiency in managing websites, data management, online booking systems, budgeting, committees, and reports.
* Highly developed skills in event logistics, marketing experience, and social media expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
An associate degree, advanced diploma, or diploma in conference and event management or equivalent industry experience is required.
