Job Description: Looking for a skilled and trade-tested Press Operator with Grade 12 and proven machine operating experience. The successful candidate will set up and operate punch press machines, inspect components for quality, perform basic maintenance, and follow production and safety standards. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work rotational shifts, and proficiency in English and Afrikaans are required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume manufacturing environment and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Requirements / Qualifications: Grade 12 and trade-tested. Proven experience as a press operator or in a similar role. Technical knowledge of hydraulic, eccentric, punch, and arch presses. Ability to perform machine setup, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting. Skilled in using measuring instruments, gauges, and basic hand tools. Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in noisy/hot/cold environments. Strong attention to detail and quality-focused. Able to follow blueprints and manufacturing instructions. Work independently and as part of a team. English and Afrikaans proficiency. Willingness to work rotational shifts and overtime. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate punch press machines using progressive dies. Inspect stamped components for dimensional and cosmetic quality using hand tools and automated equipment. Monitor machine performance, adjust settings, and perform routine maintenance. Work with quality and engineering teams to meet production standards. Maintain production records and complete required documentation. Ensure safety, housekeeping, and compliance with ISO quality standards. Coordinate with colleagues to meet production deadlines.
