Overview
Santa Maria College is a leading Catholic girls' school, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students in Years 5 - 12 including 150 boarders. We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and experienced Caretaker's to join our team.
The role is responsible for securing the College buildings and grounds, securing the boarding house facility, and ensuring the security systems are set at closing times of the College and boarding facilities as required. The incumbent will be required to work independently during their scheduled working days (evenings).
These are ongoing, part-time term-time positions, commencing in April 2026. The successful applicants will work collaboratively to ensure the smooth and efficient closure of the College facilities during after-hours periods.
Each Caretaker will work 30 hours per fortnight as per the below roster:
Sunday to Thursday: 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm
Friday to Saturday: 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm
The actual days worked will be negotiated between the two candidates and the College.

* Model and maintain the Catholic and Mercy ethos and traditions of the College
* Fit and able to carry out manual tasks in all weather conditions
* Ability to work under limited supervision
* Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable but not essential:
* Previous experience in a similar position
Additional requirements
* A current and validated National Criminal History Record Check (as issued by the Western Australian Department of Education)
* Working With Children Check
* Completion of Child Protection Training on appointment
