About the role
We are seeking an experienced Carpet Layer to join our team at Trevors Carpets Albany. As a Carpet Layer, you will be responsible for the professional installation of carpet and other flooring materials in residential and commercial properties across the Albany area. This is a full-time role based in Albany, Western Australia.
What you'll be doing
* Carefully measure, cut and install carpet, vinyl, and other flooring materials to the highest standard
* Prepare and clean subfloors in preparation for new floor
* Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining exceptional quality
* Collaborate with the wider team to deliver successful flooring projects
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Carpet Layer, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the trade
* Strong knowledge of carpet, vinyl, and other flooring materials and installation techniques
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to high standards of quality
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice to customers
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
* Strong problem-solving and time management skills
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
