As an MCL Loss Adjuster you will act as an impartial and highly specialised expert in the assessment of complex commercial property insurance claims. Working on high‐value and technically challenging losses, you will leverage your expertise to assess and resolve claims by determining cause, liability, and quantum, while collaborating closely with Executive Adjusters on large and sensitive matters.
Responsibilities
* Manage and assess a portfolio of complex, high-value commercial claims from initial notification through to resolution, in line with Sedgwick's policies and procedures.
* Conduct detailed on‐site investigations using advanced commercial processes, systems, and technologies.
* Investigate complex losses to determine causation, extent of damage, and policy response, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Analyse policy coverage and provide clear determinations aligned to terms, conditions, and endorsements.
* Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for clients and stakeholders on findings, strategy, and outcomes.
* Collaborate with Executive Adjusters on major and sensitive losses, contributing to strategic decision‐making.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders, delivering a premium service experience.
* Provide proactive, transparent communication on claim progress, risks, and resolution strategies.
* Accurately assess and manage reserves, including complex repair and reinstatement cost evaluations.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in loss adjusting, with exposure to complex or high-value commercial claims.
* Deep understanding of the end-to-end claims management process.
* Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior clients.
* Current driver's licence, as field-based assessments are required.
* Degree qualified.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and report‐writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
* Highly organised and self‐motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
