Job Title
A Mechanical Engineer is required to join our team in Mount Isa. As a key member of the Engineering & Reliability team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical equipment reliability and integrity across the plant.
Reporting to the E&R Lead, your previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a maintenance environment, coupled with a motivation to learn and grow, will enable you to make a significant contribution to the team.
* Developing and reviewing strategies to operate and maintain equipment.
* Maintaining compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Conducting technical investigations, inspections, studies, and surveys.
* Participating in training and development systems for self-improvement.
* Ensuring that all equipment assets have effective Reliability and Capability Life plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
* Good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, welding processes, and procedures.
* Experience with repair methodologies on vessels and tanks would be desirable.
* Understanding of RBM (Risk-based Maintenance) and RCM (reliability centered maintenance) strategy development.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, AUTOCAD, and SAP PM or similar.

Others
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland.
The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation, and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and housing to support the permanent workforce.
