80 hours a fortnight + monthly ADO
Up to $20,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation
(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more). The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role
Consultation Liaison psychiatry is a secondary consultation team that works at the medical interface providing psychiatric assessment, advice and recommendations for people with mental health issues within the acute general health setting. The Clinical Liaison nurse is required to work a rostered function covering weekends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide expert nursing consultation and liaison service to support the management of complex patients with problematic behavioural and or clinical mental health co-morbid presentations, AOD and Dual Diagnosis to nursing and other healthcare professionals working in the acute sector
2. Utilizes expert mental health assessment and interventions to promote best practice care with the aim of improving outcomes for these patients with complex needs
3. Provide professional clinical leadership through the provision of clinical assessment and treatment, advanced nursing interventions, consultative and educational services to enhance the mental health and social functioning of patients in the acute sector
Skills and experience
4. A current annual Registered Nurse in Division 1with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
5. Post graduate diploma/mental health nursing or specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing qualification or a post basic graduation course of training
6. At least 5 years clinical experience in a range of mental health settings including inpatient/community Mental Health
7. Good Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement. The classification is Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4 (NP75 - NP77) which ranges from $ - $ per hour
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory police records check, immunisation clearance and Working with Children check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
All employees must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required, which at a minimum is a surgical mask. Additional PPE requirements are role-dependent.
