Our client, a rapidly expanding financial technology business, is seeking a talented Financial Controller to oversee finance operations, drive reporting accuracy, and lead compliance initiatives, with specific focus on the technical accounting areas. This is a prime opportunity for an ambitious manager or senior manager with robust technical accounting experience ready to step into a pivotal, hands-on leadership role.
About the Role:
As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for:
Leading monthly/annual management and statutory reporting in compliance with AASB and specific industry standards.
Managing general ledger, group consolidations, and preparing statutory accounts, coordinating with external auditors.
Ensuring APRA, ASIC, and tax compliance (BAS, FBT, income tax).
Maintaining and enhancing robust internal controls and financial processes for optimal policy adherence and efficiency.
Preparing and managing budgets; conducting financial analysis to drive strategic decisions.
Delivering insightful financial information to senior executives and key business stakeholders.
Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, including sales performance, provisioning, impairment calculations, payroll, and reconciliations.
Supporting product pricing, profitability reporting, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Leading a Finance Manager and team, fostering a culture of collaboration, development, and performance.
Your Profile:
CA/CPA qualified with experience in financial control or audit
Strong technical expertise in accounting standards and ASX reporting requirements
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills
