About the Role
In this critical services position, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the reliability and continuity of our data centre facilities. You will monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire systems, as well as respond to alerts and alarms.
The successful candidate will have trade or tertiary qualifications in an area such as electrical engineering, refrigeration, or mechatronics. They will also have prior experience working with building management systems (BMS) or energy management systems (EMS), as well as exposure to data centre equipment.
We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, particularly in fault-finding and troubleshooting. The ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience is essential. Experience in escalating critical service issues and working with contractors and suppliers is also desirable.
This role requires a rotational 12-hour shift roster, working two days and two nights per week, followed by four days off. Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance are required.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire systems
* Respond to alerts and alarms
* Perform inspections to ensure all critical infrastructure is operating correctly
* Undertake initial fault finding on equipment and determine the cause of faults
* Provide estimated timelines for repairs and communicate with key internal teams
* Ensure all planned contractor maintenance activities are completed in accordance with procedures
Requirements
