THE COMPANY Our client is a leading medical device manufacturer. The company is based in North Sydney. Due to the business expansion, they are now seeking to employ a full time fully qualified CNC machinist. THE ROLE: The Machinist is a member of the team who carry out allocated tasks as required and completes them within the requested time frame and to the requested quality THE CANDIDATE: Fully Trade Qualified with more than 6 years experience in Cam programming and hands on experience in setting and operating CNC machines with Stainless Steel, Titanium and Peek materials. Must have wide experience in machine tool strategy and be competent in setting up complex parts for machining. Essential of having experience in synchronized machining of complex parts. Operation of CNC Machines to manufacture product Programming of CNC equipment. Conduct product dimensional / visual / functional inspection using various measuring instruments. Conduct equipment calibration and maintenance (as required) Perform other manufacturing operations/ operate other manufacturing equipment (e.g. blasting, passivation, cleaning) as required Report any non-conformances to the production Supervisor Assure identification and segregation of non-conforming product is according to established practices Complete routers as per established standards Adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures Assist in creation of production documentation (as required) Assist in design and procurement of tooling including jigs and fixtures Maintain good housekeeping Be Flexible within your skills Essential Criteria: Trade Qualified 6 years experience in setting and operating CNC machines Self Motivated & Enthusiastic Team Player Self Starting and able to work in minimal supervision Proficient English Experience and able to operate these machines below: 1) I42U Quicktech 10 axes Mill/Turn machines 2) Hartford 5 axes Machining centres 3) Q10 Quicktech 5 axes Machining centre 4) Goodway SL 20 Sliding head lathe 5) Deco 10 sliding head lathe 6) Aka CNC Grinding machine 7) OGP CMM measuring machines 8) Citizen E20 Lathe Annual Salary: $76515 - $80000 How to Apply If you think you have the above qualities, are looking for a new challenge, and believe you have what it takes to drive a team to succeed consistently, please forward your resume, along with a cover letter, by clicking on the apply button below.
