Support Worker Opportunity
This role presents a chance to make a positive change in the lives of people with disability. We are recruiting for our Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living (SIL) programs.
About the Role
SIL is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Get involved in activities at home and out in the community – like cooking, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors
* Create a calm and supportive space using de-escalation techniques
* Implement person-centred active support and behaviour support plans
* Support clients to maintain everyday spaces through domestic assistance
* Provide support with personal care, including bathing and dressing
* Ability to work sleepover shifts (SIL only)
Skills & Experience
* A bright and upbeat person who delivers support with enthusiasm
* Passion for empowering people with disability – supporting their unique needs, strengths, and personal goals
* Experience working with complex disability support needs including non-verbal and escalations
* Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates as per NDIS requirements
