We are partnering with a leading WA organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This is a varied and hands‐on role offering exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, month‐end reporting, and financial accounting processes.
Working closely with the wider finance function, you will also support compliance requirements, stakeholder management, and process improvement initiatives within a fast‐paced and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
* Daily bank reconciliations and payment allocations
* Managing supplier payments, EFTs, and stakeholder queries
* Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accuracy
* Assisting with month‐end reporting, journals, and financial analysis
* Supporting tax lodgements, audits, and compliance requirements
* Reviewing transactional workflows and identifying process improvements
* Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or transactional finance role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and GST compliance
* Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and ERP systems
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Strong communication skills with a team‐focused approach
