About the Role We're looking for a driven technical sales leader to join Pelleton Renewables in Brisbane and help us grow across Australia/NZ and beyond.
This role is primarily about sales – identifying opportunities, building relationships with municipalities and industrial clients, closing deals, and establishing our presence in Australia and other markets. You'll translate our waste‑to‑energy solutions into compelling value propositions for customers ranging from meat processors to renewable gas producers to.
You will work directly with the CEO and commercial team, owning the full commercial cycle from market engagement and opportunity development through to deal closure and structured handover to project delivery. As we scale, you'll also build and mentor a small sales team, while focusing on customer acquisition and revenue growth.
What you’ll do Customer Acquisition, Deal Execution & Handover
Lead complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through to commercial negotiation and deal closure
Structure commercially robust deals, including pricing, ROI positioning, and partnership models
Ensure proposals are compelling, credible, and grounded in realistic execution assumptions
Own revenue targets, pipeline growth, and deal conversion performance
Ensure smooth and structured handover of closed deals to project delivery teams
Own CRM discipline, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
Provide regular commercial insights to leadership, including pipeline health, customer feedback, and market intelligence
Partnerships & Market Presence
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with industrial customers, EPCs, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
Stay across relevant regulations, incentives, and market dynamics impacting customer decisions
Represent Pelleton at industry events, conferences, and strategic discussions
Team Development
Hire, mentor, and scale a high‑performing technical sales team over time
Establish structured sales processes, reporting cadence, and commercial best practices
Who we’re looking for
10+ years’ experience in technical sales or business development, ideally in renewables, waste, or industrial technology
Strong commercial judgement and ability to articulate customer ROI
Solid understanding of waste‑to‑energy, biowaste, or related industrial processes
Knowledge of Australian waste, energy, and environmental regulatory frameworks
Confident communicator able to engage C‑suite, operators, and technical stakeholders
Brisbane/Australia or anywhere in Australia, with willingness to travel. Australian work authorisation is a must. We support remote work.
