What’s the job?
We are seeking an innovative Senior Lecturer (internally known as a Senior Learning Facilitator) to focus on high quality teaching, scholarship, and research in 3D Animation. Skills and expertise may include AI, 3D environment design for various platforms (games, film, etc), industry background in contemporary 3D pipeline and project management, 3D asset creation, environments, look development and 3D production. Technical expertise on a combination of various 3d software including Maya, Substance Suite, Zbrush, Unreal, Houdini and Blender would be beneficial.
The role is primarily responsible for preparing, delivering, facilitating, and assessing subjects and ensuring students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks. The incumbent is also expected to actively participate and contribute to curriculum development, course/subject coordination, reviews and continuous improvement, including validation and moderation activities.
Who you are:
To be successful in the Senior Learning Facilitator – 3D animation position, you will love engaging with students, working in a team, and mentoring others. In addition, you will have:
* A demonstrated experience in higher education in the field of 3D animation
* A demonstrated track record of high-quality teaching in 3D animation.
* Good industry connections and a demonstration of integrating industry practice into a learning environment.
* Preferably a PhD (or near completion) related to 3D animation.
* Preferably a demonstrated track record of high-quality research outcomes through traditional publications, conferences, and non-traditional research outcomes.
* Preferably evidence of research that is applicable to industry or in collaboration with industry partners.
* Ideally a Graduate certificate in teaching and learning (or willing to undertake one)
