Role Overview

Based in Melbourne, you will be a Business Development Manager (BDM) focused on expanding existing enterprise relationships and activating strategic opportunities, particularly supporting our market‐leading Databricks practice.

Key Responsibilities

* Deepen and Grow Accounts: Multi‐thread relationships across internal teams and client stakeholders to build trust with senior decision‐makers.
* Strategic Growth & Activation: Organise events, handle inbound leads and build pipeline via warm connections and partner collaboration.
* Event‐Led Growth: Coordinate and run high‐impact executive breakfasts, roundtables and other events to generate leads and build the Databricks business.
* Deal Shaping & Collaboration: Work closely with partners, pre‐sales leads, marketing and consultants to build proposals, costings, pitch decks and close growth projects.

Essential Mindset & Skills

* Long‐term thinker with a business‐building approach; hustle is essential.
* Strong commercial acumen and client‐facing experience driving sales and growth.
* Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset capable of executive‐level strategy.
* Deep interest in technology and respect for technical experts; not style‐over‐substance.
* Comfortable discussing platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP.
* Confident communicator—clear, humble, and collaborative.

Candidate Profile

* 2‐5 years of experience growing enterprise accounts or running strategic partnerships.
* Successful sales professional transitioning to a consultative commercial role.
* Technology consultant ready for a high‐impact move into a commercial career path.
