About the opportunity
The Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre is at the forefront of translational research of relevance to people with dementia and their carers and provides a range of innovative educational programs on dementia. This position is focused on the delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate dementia education programs and also contributes to the Centre's research programs in the care, cause and prevention of dementia. Candidates with research backgrounds aligned to these current research themes of the Centre, and specifically non-Alzheimer's disease dementias, are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do:
* Undertake high-quality research in dementia or related neurodegenerative disease of national and international standing.
* Secure external funding, publish research findings and successfully supervise research higher degree students.
* Undertake scholarly coursework teaching of an exemplary quality.
* Actively manage the development and design of structure and content in award courses as required.

What we're looking for:
* A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
* Strong record in recognised research that has achieved that has made notable contributions to the field of dementia and related diseases.
* Demonstrated achievement in University-level teaching and learning. (Experience of teaching in online environment would be highly regarded.)
* Record of good contributions to successful research higher degree supervision and completions is desirable.
* Experience building and maintaining effective and productive links locally, nationally and internationally.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level B and will have a total remuneration package of up to $155,885 comprising base salary within the range of $114,766 to $133,235 plus 17% superannuation.
