Location
We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns in the North or Northwest of Tasmania.
The Team
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns. These new positions will work alongside existing CYMHS services and have been developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).
The Allied Health Professional will have a passion for providing a person‐centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Working as part of a dynamic and well‐supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to children and young people and their families/carers.
The Role
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programmes for our new programmes in either Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and/or Out of Home Care.
Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop the new mental health services in Tasmania.
Collaborating with a diverse group of clinicians as part of the multidisciplinary team, including providing support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants who have undertaken training in relevant and appropriate evidence‐based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) would be highly regarded.
You will need
* Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi‐disciplinary framework.
* Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of CYMHS and their families or carers.
* Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

Essential Qualifications
* Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self‐regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role.
* Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
* Current Driver's Licence.
