St John the Baptist, Woy Woy is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant for a 12-month temporary, part-time opportunity.

St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, Woy Woy is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant for a 12-month temporary, part-time (0.7FTE) opportunity to commence Term 1, 2026 & conclude at the end of the school year.

The working days/times for this position is 8:30am - 3pm, Monday - Wednesday & 9am - 3pm, Thursday & Friday.

Specific Criteria

- Learning Support Assistance experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student well-being and child safety
- Capability to work cooperatively within a team environment
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Effective organisational skills and the ability to be able to multi-task and work efficiently
- Acts professionally and maintains confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent initiative and judgement when required
- Honest, reliable and a high standard of integrity
- A current Working with Children Check
- Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
- Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community

St John the Baptist Catholic School, Woy Woy was started in 1922 by the Sisters of St Joseph. The school moved to its present site in 1979, and has a current enrolment of 540 students. The school’s vision is to be “a place of dignity and high expectations, where the presence of God prevails”. The school aims to develop the whole child where all students reach their full potential - spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically in a positive, secure and safe environment.
