The Role
As the Senior Accountant you will be part of a 4 person accounting team reporting into the Group Financial Controller and supporting him to manage a loyal team of junior accounting staff. The role will lead the global consolidation process and requires strong influencing skills as you liaise with Finance leaders worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for coordinating the month‑end process to deliver an accurate consolidated monthly management reporting pack with analyses of variances against budget within OneStream
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for consolidating entities on a monthly basis.
* Contribute to the monthly management reporting pack, including cash flow, balance sheet, and working capital analysis.
* Assist the Group Financial Controller with the preparation of Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts in collaborationwith respective departmental / project managers
* Preparation and lodgement of compliant full-year financial statements andmanaging the interim and annual audit process with external auditors
* Preparation of BAS, FBT returns and information for the Corporate tax return
Required skills and experience
* Post‑graduate qualification in accounting such as aCA or CPA qualification (or equivalent). Audit background highly regarded.
* 5+ years' experience in the accounting and/or mining services space with some management experience highly regarded
* High attention to detail and ability to identify patterns and trends
* Self‑motivated and proactive with a collaborative working style
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships.
* Team player - contributes positively and delivers results on time at a high standard.
* Mining services experience would be considered favourably
* Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills such as Onestream and second tier or large ERP experience is desirable
