About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Supervisor to join our newly relocated Sydney office at the iconic Circular Quay.
This pivotal role ensures our workplace is safe, efficient and welcoming for our people, clients, and visitors. This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee day-to-day operations, manage a small team, and act as deputy to the Facilities Manager. You'll be involved in everything from coordinating maintenance and managing contractors to supporting compliance and driving service excellence.
We seek a highly motivated professional with exceptional attention to detail, strong initiative, and the ability to respond decisively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the Sydney office is safe, compliant, and well-maintained for staff, clients, and visitors
* Collaborate with departments to meet operational needs and resolve facilities issues promptly
* Oversee maintenance, service providers, and contractors, ensuring performance meets standards
* Manage relationships with building management and vendors
* Supervise site safety, regulatory compliance, and risk controls
* Lead office improvement projects and support emergency planning
* Coordinate volunteer wardens and first aiders
* Monitor budget adherence and validate invoices
* Contribute to environmental initiatives
* Oversee security, space allocation, asset management, and physical storage
* Maintain effective knowledge management practices
* Drive operational efficiencies through innovation
Skills & Experience
* A relevant business or administration degree, certificate, or diploma desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of relevant statutory or regulatory rules and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple tasks efficiently, adapt to shifting priorities, prioritise tasks, and meet competing demands and deadlines.
* Knowledge of property, asset, and contract management software (on-premises or cloud-based) is a distinct advantage.
* Demonstrated experience with commercial leases and ensuring landlord and lessee adherence to key contracted provisions.
* Experience in leading a team of highly engaged client-centric front-of-house staff with a strong focus on service excellence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software - Excel, Word, and Outlook.
