In this role you will support continuous improvement of IAG's risk framework and provide governance support around non-financial risks, including the Prudential Standard control environment for CPS 220 and CPS 230.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in multiple locations across Australia.
What You'll Do
* Support the annual review of IAG's Risk Appetite Statement including the preparation of GLTRC and BRC papers as required.
* Support the half yearly attestation and collection of control evidence for CPS 220 and CPS 230 on behalf of the Prudential Standard Owner(s).
* Manage the Non-Financial Risk & Compliance Committee including preparation of agenda and paper submissions as required.
* Proactively identify and assess the impacts to frameworks and policies driven by regulatory environment.
* Drive continuous improvement in Group Risk's policy environment and capability.
* Proactively collaborate and contribute to policy and framework projects/initiatives as required.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in general insurance or financial services industry. Risk, compliance, and/or regulatory experience highly desirable.
* Experience in drafting professional documents, including Board materials.
* Experience in document and knowledge management.
Skill Requirements
* Strong business writing skills – ability to synthesise and simplify complex ideas.
* Stakeholder engagement – ability to effectively collaborate with, influence, and at times challenge, senior stakeholders to drive sound outcomes.
* Group perspective – ability to take a helicopter view of the risk environment to drive consistency and integration between framework elements.
* Analytical thinking and problem solving – being able to assess root causes of organisational problems and create alternative solutions to solve them.
* Business acumen – knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and process that enable sound decision making.
