Chevalier College seeks applications for this full-time, temporary Teacher of Technology (Woodwork) position for Years 7 – 10, for the duration of Term 4, 2025.

Teacher Role Requirements
- Recognised teacher education qualifications and NESA accreditation to teach in NSW schools.
- Ability and qualifications to teach Technology (Woodwork) to Years 7 - 10.
At Chevalier College, teachers strategically work in teams to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning. As such, they are required to:
- support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC).
- see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning.
- work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.
- enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.
- use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes.
- demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge.
- use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning.
- regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle.
- be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning.
- know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.

Full-time, temporary teaching position for Term 4, 2025.
Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.
This is a child-related position. Preferred candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification.
Chevalier College is a catholic coeducational secondary day school conducted by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. The college is a heart-centred community that maintains an enrolment of approximately 900 students and is widely recognised for its high standard of teaching and excellent care for students. It is located in a beautiful park-like setting on 100 acres in Bowral, in the NSW Southern Highlands.
