We are seeking a Wastewater Planning Project Manager to join our Planning & Engineering Group within the Customer Delivery Division.

* Base salary of up to $120,750 plus Superannuation (Any offer made will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate)

The Opportunity

As the Wastewater Planning Project Manager you will primarily be responsible for managing key projects within the Wastewater Planning team.

What you'll do:

* Provide coordination and program management for the Wet Weather Overflows Hotspots program and other programs managed by the team.
* Manage capacity assessment, condition assessment, flow gauging, risk assessment and conceptual design activities for the delivery of assets including management of consultants.
* Coordinate external consultants delivering business cases and Project Development Plans (PDPs).
* Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders.
* Proactively manage safety, environmental and quality outcomes of projects.
* Manage project budgets and timelines including cost control and forecasting.
* Any other duties as directed or as allocated by the Manager Wastewater Planning.

What you'll need to be successful:

Essential Criteria:

* Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent suitable professional qualifications and experience
* Demonstrated Project Management experience and skills
* Basic understanding of how wastewater networks work and the general engineering principles behind their design, operation and modelling
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to proactively involve others in identifying issues and solutions
* Excellent organisational and time management skills demonstrated through the ability to manage conflicting priorities
* Proven ability to work effectively within teams and build and maintain working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
* Class C Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* Experience in Project Management of capital delivery at Hunter Water
* Proven experience in undertaking stakeholder engagement on engineering projects
* Experience in preparing funding approval documentation or developing cost estimates
* Experience in managing resources to effectively deliver outcomes

The constitution of the first Board was approved in 1892 and New South Wales' second water authority was born. We are governed under the State Owned Corporations Act 1989 and in 1992 the Hunter District Water Board was corporatised under the Hunter Water Act 1991 and began trading as it is known today - Hunter Water Corporation.
