The role

We are seeking a permanent part-time (working 4 days per week, term time only) Archivist to preserve, organise, and develop the College's archival collections while celebrating our rich history. With strong connections to our community and old scholars, this role is ideal for someone passionate about preserving stories, maintaining records, and ensuring our heritage continues to inspire future generations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Organise, catalogue and preserve the College's physical and digital materials including photographs, documents, uniforms, memorabilia, and media with consideration for proper storage, handling and environmental standards.
* Design and curation of displays
* Oversee, organise, and maintain digital archives.
* Respond to research requests from staff, students, alumni and the wider College community.
* Support College publications, celebrations, and marketing materials by providing archival content.
* Collaborate with departments on heritage projects and events.
* Records management, administration, and planning.

The successful candidate will be:

* Possess a relevant qualification in Archives and Records Management, Information Management or related discipline
* Experience working with archival collections, preferably within a school, cultural institution or library environment
* Knowledge of archival standards and principles including cataloguing, preservation and digitisation
* Familiarity with collection management systems or databases
* Strong digital literacy
* Support and nurture the College's Catholic ethos and Ignatian charism
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Collaborative approach with staff members, students and parents
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Patience and flexibility when dealing with a range of situations and people, including the ability to respond to staff and student needs.
* Be flexible and adaptable in approach to work practices and management strategies
* Be able to demonstrate efficient organisational skills and initiative
* Possess or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect-education & Care (RRHAN–EC) training.
