Production Coordinator
The Role of the Production Coordinator is to oversee the development and execution of production support activities at the Kwinana Refinery. This role plays a crucial part in coordinating activities across teams, including processing, maintenance, dispatch, emergency response, training, commercial, shutdown preparation, permitting, and raw materials.
This individual will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent planning, time management, and accuracy, with the ability to handle ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and support through strategy development, planning, and engagement. They will work closely with the Processing Manager to achieve long-term departmental targets through planning and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with SHE&C plans, management systems, and processes.
* Monitor and improve the effectiveness of plans and processes.
* Identify and implement plant/procedural improvements.
* C coordinate with suppliers and customers to develop and deliver production plans.
* Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and project teams on shutdowns, rundowns, and start-ups.
* Flexibly fill in for the Operations and Despatch Superintendent when required.
* Work with technical teams to resolve issues.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to team members.
* Promote continuous improvement and manage change processes.
* Develop operating procedures related to production and operations.
* Achieve long-term departmental targets through planning and strategy.
* C coordinate activities to meet production, reliability, and cost goals.
* Contribute to strategic and annual planning, and monitor performance.
* Review and improve safety and operational standards.
* Lead projects from concept to completion following procedures.
* C coordinate with HSEC team for audits and compliance.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
* Demonstrate leadership skills, including coaching and influencing others.
* Maintain personnel competencies and training needs.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership and/or Process Plant Technology desired but not essential.
* Valid driver's license.
* First Aid certification.
* 10+ years in fixed plant processing, including at least 5 years in supervisory or leadership roles.
* Experience in lithium processing preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of pyrometallurgical, impurity removal, filtration, and crystallization processes.
* Experience with commissioning and operational improvement projects is advantageous.
* Proficiency with DCS control systems preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
