The Financial Reporting & Analysis team acts as the central point of contact for finance-related services across various departments. They play a key role in maintaining the organisation's financial sustainability by leading budgeting and forecasting processes, delivering strategic financial analysis and advice, and monitoring the financial performance of projects and operations.
A full-time opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their Financial Reporting and Analysis team in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
* Support the Finance Business Partner in preparing monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and executive commentary, for allocated directorates.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of financial dashboards and reporting tools, and assist with preparing scheduled reports for stakeholders.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across directorates and cost centres.
* Perform month-end processing tasks, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations, as required.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy and stakeholder value.
* Provide financial and accounting support to the Senior Finance Business Partner as required.
* Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and team members to support the achievement of Directorate-specific financial objectives.
* Maintain integrity and accountability in all financial activities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
* Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high performance and resilience under pressure.
* Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and support decision-making.
