You'll work closely with Technical Delivery Managers, Software Engineering Managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure testing is well planned, well executed, and delivers confidence in every release.
Job Description Main Area of Responsibility
* Coordinates and manages planning of the system and/or acceptance tests within a development or integration project or programme.
* Manages end-to-end testing activities for customer releases, ensuring thorough regression testing is performed after every deployment to maintain system quality and stability.
* Responsible for maintaining client regression test packs within the test automation tool to ensure comprehensive test coverage and overall product quality.
* Drives completion of release testing within agreed timeframes while ensuring complete automation of all testing deliverables.
* Ensures comprehensive test evidence documentation and test summary reports are prepared and maintained for every release and shared with clients ahead of UAT.
* Acts as the primary point of contact for all testing activities during UAT, coordinating closely with clients and stakeholders. Reviews and validates UAT test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with business users.
* Tracks, triages, and prioritizes defects identified during UAT, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
* Ensures UAT sign-off is obtained upon successful completion of testing and compliance with agreed acceptance criteria.
* Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.
* Defines and communicates the test plan for the project.
* Manages client relationships with respect to testing matters.
* Takes responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinates the execution of these activities.
* Identifies process improvements & contributes to corporate testing standards.
* Promotes and ensures use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools.
Accountability
* Assisting the Technical Delivery Manager in driving continued improvement of SSP's delivery practices with an emphasis on the key requirements of the solutions
* Identify opportunities of automation to reduce time required for functional, regression tests and maintain overall quality of the application.
* Work with Lead Tester/Automation expert to implement the automation approach for the projects
* Produce estimates of testing effort required in product releases.
* Provide guidance to the team members in interpreting functional and non-functional requirements, the design of test scenarios, test cases, reporting.
* To adequately test developed software to demonstrate that programs meet all functional and non-functional requirements
* To ensure that all relevant test documentation is completed to the required standards.
* Work with TDMs in continuous improvement of best practice tooling, and reporting on agreed quality metrics
* Acquire, maintain and grow team's knowledge of the product.
* Act as the internal specialist, providing guidance and advice to team members on the product.
* Develop product knowledge across the team ensuring adequate application coverage exists, sufficient to complete appropriate testing.
* Provide guidance to the team members on the prescribed testing concepts and processes.
* Analysis, creation and review of formal documentation – e.g. project test plans, reports etc.
* Manages creation and maintenance of test data.
* Report overall team progress and issues to the Manager in a timely manner.
* Ability to articulate escalations as necessary.
* Identify, communicate potential risks along with recommendations to mitigate risks there by reducing the impact on quality or timescales.
* Maintain high standards of product quality within the team by establishing best practices and habits.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in relevant subject, or equivalent qualifications, plus considerable work experience in a relevant role. OR Substantial work experience in a relevant role.
* Extensive experience in test automation frameworks, preferably Tricentis Tosca.
* Experience in testing SOAP APIs is a plus.
* Proven technical experience in own technical specialism.
* Relevant specialist testing skills and knowledge of automation, performance, etc through formal training specific to role.
* Qualifications ISTQB Foundation Level/Advanced Certification.
