The Role
You will provide policy advice and guidance for our government clients. This is a pivotal role that requires professionalism, discretion, and an exceptional eye for detail.
Key responsibilities may include:
* Prepare quality policy advice that aligns with department strategic objectives
* Prepare briefing documents including question time briefs, senate estimates briefs, media releases and ministerial submissions
* Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Support the development of informed, strategic policy advice
About You
You are highly organised, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced environments where confidentiality and precision matter.
You will bring:
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Have strong research, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
* Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholder groups
* Be able to produce high quality and timely policy advice
* High level of organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Essential Requirements
To be considered for Federal Government opportunities, you must:
* Be an Australian citizen
* Be willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain at minimum a Baseline Security Clearance
Desirable Requirements
* Preference is for candidates to be based in Canberra and surrounding regions
