About Venture Housing
Venture Housing Company is a not-for-profit registered Tier 1 community housing provider, established in 2011. Venture works in partnership with the corporate sector, local businesses, all levels of government and other not-for-profit agencies.
Venture has a strong focus on providing affordable housing options for very low, and low to moderate-income earners who may be experiencing housing rental stress in the private rental market, who may need social support, and may struggle to find a home.
Venture owns and manages approximately 550 social and affordable homes across Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine and Tennant Creek districts in the Northern Territory and has a pipeline of 50 new social and affordable homes under development for delivery and ownership to Venture between 2025/26.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced property superstar to join our front-line team. The role will be responsible for delivering high quality end to end tenancy and property management across our affordable and social housing portfolios. Management of the portfolio requires a proactive, solution-focused approach that incorporates the application of the Residential Tenancies Act 1999, in conjunction with Ventures policies and procedures to deliver an overall objective of sustaining tenancies.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Provide housing assistance to individuals and families, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes
* End to end Property Management in accordance with the RTA
* Collaborate across the Venture team to deliver measurable outcomes against organisational KPI performance requirements
* Form working relationships with various external stakeholders and community providers to support and refer vulnerable persons for assistance.
* Drive positive housing outcomes through the efficient turnaround of vacant properties in accordance with NRSCH performance requirements
* Ensure all properties are effectively maintained with the assistance of the Asset management team
* Ensure all compliance requirements are met in accordance to NRSCH, NRAS, and internal policies with the assistance of the Finance and Compliance team
About you
* The successful candidate will be a licenced Property Agent and demonstrate a minimum of 2 – 3 years' experience in Private Property Management, Affordable Housing (or similar)
* A commitment to working collaboratively and taking a proactive problem-solving approach
* Strong engagement skills and ability to interact effectively and sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Essential Qualifications and Licensing:
* Current NT Drivers license
* Current Working with Children Check clearance or willing to obtain prior to employment
* Criminal Record Check or willing to obtain prior to employment
* NT Real Estate Agents License (or equivalent experience in housing and willingness to obtain)
Desirable but not essential
* Certificate/Diploma in Social Housing / Community Services, or
Or Equivalent work experience.
