We have an opportunity for an Electrical Apprentice to join our electrical contracting company, Prospecta Utilities at our north Brisbane lifestyle community - Gemlife Moreton Bay (Burpengary East). This role is a full time opportunity where you will work alongside experienced Electricians - learning installations, maintenance and commissioning across new home builds, commercial and solar.
As part of the apprenticeship you will undertake formal training towards a Certificate III in Electrotechnology, combining classroom learning with on-the-job experience.
About you:
We are looking for motivated individuals ready to start their electrical careers and commit to a full time apprenticeship. To be considered you will have:
* a strong interest in becoming an electrician
* a solid work ethic, be reliable and willing to learn
* have completed Year 12 and left school and be available full time
* must be able to commence work each day at 6:30am at our Moreton Bay site in Burpengary East
* possess a construction industry white card or be prepared to get one as soon as possible
* must be local to the north Brisbane or southern Sunshine Coast area
* ability to perform manual work
* have a basic understanding of hand and power tools
* must be able to work overtime, Monday to Friday - hours are generally 6:30am to 5:00pm.
The following is an advantage but not essential:
* Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre Apprenticeship)
* Previous work experience in the electrical field
* Working at Heights ticket
* A current drivers license and reliable vehicle
