St Marys Community Health Centre and Tasmania’s North-East

St Marys is nestled in the Fingal Valley in Tasmania’s North-East, approximately 90 minutes' drive from Launceston, and just 10 minutes from the unspoilt beaches of the East Coast. It is close to National Parks and mountain bike trails.

St Marys Community Health Centre offers emergency, sub-acute, and palliative care, along with community and outpatient services including nursing, physiotherapy, social work, child health, and more. The Tasmanian Lymphedema Centre is based here, and medical services are provided with our co-located GP practice operated by Ochre Health.

The Role

The Enrolled Nurse provides patient-centered nursing care within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse, under the supervision of a registered nurse/midwife, to achieve planned outcomes.

Details of Appointment

This is a permanent, part-time shift position, working 72 hours per fortnight, starting from 21 July 2025. Hours are negotiable.

The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the publication date.


Salary

Salary ranges from $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata), with an additional 11.5% superannuation contribution. Salary is aligned with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Additional allowances may include:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification


Salary Packaging & Benefits

Options include salary packaging benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 for meal entertainment annually, plus other benefits if eligible. An additional 4% allowance may be available for remote and rural professional development.

Essential Criteria

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse with a Board-approved medication administration qualification.
