About the role
The Plant Operator Waste Operations is a key position responsible for the efficient operation of multiple heavy plant items. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and operational policies while delivering high-quality service to the community.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Team Leader Waste Operations to ensure that all activities align with the council's objectives and comply with environmental and safety legislation.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Current Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) Driver's Licence with a commitment to upgrade to a (HR) within a specified time period
* Current Construction General Induction Card –Safework NSW or equivalent
* Statement of Attainment of Verification of Competency for either an Excavator, Loader and/or Articulated Loader issued by a regulator or hold a nationally recognised statement of attainment or equivalent evidence of competency and a willingness to obtain competencies for additional items of plant/heavy machinery as required.

* The commencing salary for this position is up to $64, Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $78,834.64 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation and Level 2 Adverse Working Conditions.
* We have a permanent full-time role available
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
* This role is located at the Buttonderry Waste Facility
