Role Description
This is a 4 to 5 day a week role for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, primarily located in Weston Creek with some work-from-home options once the practitioner has settled into their role. The Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring individualised support plans.
The role includes conducting assessments, providing direct support, training staff and families, and maintaining records in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Collaboration with clients, families, and other professionals is essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality therapeutic support.
Qualifications
For this round all applicants must have authorisation as a Behaviour Support Skilled through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, at least at Core level
Experience in developing and implementing individualised support plans
Skills in conducting assessments and providing direct support
Ability to train staff and families in positive behavior support strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
Experience in the child and family services sector is a plus.
