As part of the J.P. Morgan Securities Services division, the Agency Securities Finance group arranges and executes a wide range of secured funding transactions for a broad, institutional buy side client base with a number of large banks, broker dealers and hedge funds. The opportunity sits within Financing Solutions, an integrated team dedicated to the facilitation of client liquidity objectives, collateral efficiency, directed funding transactions and the implementation of a new agency product range to supplement the core agency lending program.You would join a team of high strategic importance for the Agency Securities Finance business, promoting diversification of revenue streams and increased client engagement. The role is based in Sydney but the mandate retains a global perspective.Job ResponsibilitiesStructure ad-hoc solutions for institutional clients through financing trades, cash management, collateral mobilization or enhanced lending opportunitiesEvaluate cross asset financing opportunities based on quantitative analysis of securities portfolios and market data in line with risk mandateBring to market new agency financing and portfolio optimisation products in combination with group stakeholdersDevelop pitchbooks and present ideas to clients, internal sales teams and external stakeholdersBuild deep knowledge of J.P. Morgan financing system architecture, documentation framework and operational processesOversee and risk manage ongoing client activity in accordance with transactional parameters, resource limits and operating guidelinesCreate memos and Thought Leadership pieces with project updates and strategy for the benefit of internal management, functional partners, and external clientsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsA strong understanding of secured funding markets across all asset classes, derivatives and global macro-economic themesKnowledge of the financial eco-system and its participants to include banks, real money managers, hedge funds, fintech, central counterparts and regulatorsStrong analytical and demonstrable quantitative skills, previous financial modelling or data analysis desirableWell-developed project management skills enabling the tracking of multiple deliverables, including short fuse requirements and longer term objectivesBe an excellent communicator and have strong interpersonal skills able to be used at all levels of the organisation and with external counterpartsPossess an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to problem solving within risk controlled frameworkStrong presentation skills across multi formats and platforms to convey strategic ideas clearly and concisely
