About the Role
As a Payroll & Finance Officer, based in Warrnambool, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations. Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, this part-time position also supports accounts payable/receivable functions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
You will work closely with staff across the organisation as well as external providers including the ATO, auditors, and financial advisors, helping to maintain compliance and provide excellent support to employees and the wider organisation.
About You
You are a reliable and detail-oriented payroll or finance professional with experience in payroll and bookkeeping. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy. Known for your strong communication and customer service skills, you can support staff while ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Key skills and experience include:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in payroll and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and the National Employment Standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to prepare accurate reports.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with Employment Hero, Xero, or MYP.
- Knowledge of the disability or community services sector.
