We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Workers for our CraigCare Albany home on a part-time basis.

About Your Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you will work under the guidance of Registered Nurses to assist residents with daily living activities, enhancing their well-being and ensuring high-quality care delivery.

This role is critical in maintaining high-quality care and a high quality of life for residents at all times.

Key Responsibilities

* Support residents in making informed choices about their care, promoting autonomy and dignity.
* Contribute to the overall quality of life of residents, including physical, emotional, and lifestyle interests.
* Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by Registered Nurses, as documented in residents' care plans.
* Assist residents with personal care needs while encouraging independence.
* Prioritize workloads effectively and deliver care with dignity and compassion.
* Provide care to residents with respect, kindness, and patience.
* Respect residents' dignity, privacy, and choice.

Requirements

* Aged Care Quality Standards and Quality of Care Principles knowledge.
* Genuine interest in elderly care and a desire to improve residents' lives.
* Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support.
* Effective communication skills.
* Reliability to work to a roster with set shifts and basic computer skills.
* Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
* Previous work experience in the aged care sector (preferred but not essential).
* NDIS clearance and Rights to Work.
* Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
