Job Title: Nursing Professional
Job Summary:
As a Nursing Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient communication, education, and support.
Responsibilities:

* Provide professional nursing care in the DME setting as defined in the nurse practice act and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
">
* Deliver exceptional patient communication, education, and support.
">
* Represent our organization through professional appearance and attitude.
">
* Set up and instruct respiratory equipment such as Cpap, Bipap, RADs, Oxygen, Cough Assist, High volume compressors, and oximeters.
">
* Play an active role in compliance to meet insurance guidelines while promoting a healthy sleep lifestyle.
">
* Follow up phone calls within the required 72 Hr timeframe for respiratory equipment.
">
* Be a resource to patients when the need arises for troubleshooting equipment.
">
* Responsible for patient mask fittings/interface and utilizing the 'Mask Warranty Program.'
">
* Become familiar with online/web-based programs for downloads, utilizing VirtuOx and processing orders.
">
* Responsible for home set up of equipment if required.
">
* Participate in on-call responsibility if required.
">
* Use personal vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.
">
* Communicate information with staff, referral sources, physician offices, patients, and peers on a timely basis, consistent with agency policy and urgency of the situation.
">
* Maintain accurate and complete documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
">
* Demonstrate knowledge of safety/infection control practices by compliance with policies.
">
* Recognize and respond appropriately to potentially unsafe situations.
">
* Practice safe infection control in the use of equipment.
">
* Seek education/training or assistance with areas of need.
">
* Stay current on Medicare guidelines for billing and dispensing as well as LCDs.
">
* Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs in a timely manner or as assigned.
">
* Accept responsibility for professional nursing duties.
">
* Follow company Policy and Procedures and renewal of licensure.
">
* Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and patient/customer PHI.
">
* Refrain from discussing client or staff identities, conditions, or circumstances in public or with others who do not have a legitimate interest.
">
* Attend scheduled clinical meetings as required.
">
* Assist in the orientation/training of new staff.
">
* May serve as a backup to other employee's vacations, illness, or other periods of time.
">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
* Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
">
* Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state(s) of employment.
">
* Valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance coverage per organizational policy.
