The role of Environmental Services Manager involves providing senior leadership in the management of environmental obligations contributing to reducing the risk to human health and the environment from pollution or waste.
This includes identifying, managing, and mitigating environmental and contaminated land risks in the port area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Environmental Assessment and Management: Manage and provide senior leadership and specialist advice for the environmental assessment and management of assets and lands.
* Specialist Advice: Provide specialist advice to internal divisions and stakeholders on contamination assessment and management aspects of development proposals, site works, property acquisitions, infrastructure licenses, dredging, and other issues.
* Compliance with Environmental Legislation: Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant Environment Legislation and Port policy in accordance with ISO Standard 14001:2016.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Integrated Management Systems: A working knowledge and understanding of Integrated Management Systems relating to ISO Standards Quality 9001:2016, Environment 14001:2016 & OHS 45001:2018.
* Environmental Knowledge: Sound knowledge of various State, Federal, and International Environmental Legislation.
* Educational Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Understanding of principles and methodologies for effective stakeholder engagement.
