About the Role
We are seeking a skilled psychologist to contribute to our Regional Wellbeing Telepractice Service. You will provide evidence-based counselling interventions for children from Prep through to Year 12 with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns. You will deliver services including counselling, assessment, and intervention, supporting students' mental health and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
Provide professional support and information to students, parents, carers, and school communities, fostering partnerships in decision-making.
Deliver evidence-based counselling interventions and assessments for children and adolescents.
Assist students in developing emotional management skills, building resilience, improving distress tolerance, managing mood and supporting interpersonal relationships.
Collaborate with a dynamic support team and receive clinical and technical guidance from regional wellbeing supervisors.
Maintain records and documentation in accordance with department policies.
Success in Performing This Role Will Require
Knowledge and skills in mental health assessment and therapeutic intervention for children and adolescents
Understanding of working within complex organisational systems to support client or student needs
Experience or keen interest in delivering therapeutic services through the telepractice modality
Position Details
Location: Darling Downs South West Region; candidate must be located in a school within the region.
Type: Full-time (option for part-time) and permanent; temporary contracts also negotiable.
