Why This Role Matters
As an FP&A Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in driving financial performance insights across the organisation. You'll partner closely with corporate finance, fund accounting, loan management, and deal teams to provide clear, actionable management information that supports both day‑to‑day decisions and long‑term strategy.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering meaningful financial analysis, improving forecasting capability, and helping the business deeply understand the drivers behind performance. Your key responsibilities include:
Core Responsibilities
Produce monthly management accounts and clear, insight‑driven performance dashboards.
Analyse revenue performance to identify key business drivers and trends.
Work with the deal team to assess individual deal performance and profitability.
Build cost of capital and balance sheet forecasting models to evaluate deal‑level and portfolio‑level attribution.
Provide financial and commercial insight to cross‑functional stakeholders.
Support ongoing enhancements to business rules, processes, and management accounting systems.
Strategic & Analytical Goals
Deliver and continuously improve the monthly management dashboard.
Provide proactive insights on financial performance, including run‑rate analysis versus budget.
Lead elements of Asset Liability Management (ALM) modelling, including cost of capital and balance sheet forecasting.
Conduct quarterly asset and liability reviews, including AASB 9 assessments and dynamic expected credit loss (ECL) provisioning.
Maintain strong documentation, internal controls, and updated process frameworks.
What You Bring
We're looking for someone detail‑oriented, analytically sharp, and commercially focused. You'll bring:
3+ years of FP&A or management accounting experience within financial services.
Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery and model‑building experience.
Experience with Power BI and SQL (highly regarded).
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
