Are you an experienced pool lifeguard and enjoy working across our pools during the summer season? If you're looking for flexibility, join our team
We are looking for seasonal pool lifeguards who will be responsible for supervising and managing the safety of all customers within the facility.
Duties include maintaining cleanliness and functionality of the pool facilities and manage the day to day operations of the pool with the support of the Senior Pool Lifeguard. Commitment to excellence in customer service and safety is pivotal to your success.
Opportunities for the 2025/2026 season include temporary (seasonal) part time positions to work across our chlorinated pools and ocean pool during the summer season and include Albion Park, Oak Flats, Warilla and Beverley Whitfield ocean pool on a roster covering various shifts from Monday to Sunday. The season will conclude on 29 March 2026.

Shellharbour City has four chlorinated pools across three aquatic locations, including year round heated pools at Oak Flats. In addition, Council manages the operation of the Beverley Whitfield ocean pool at Shellharbour.

1. Temporary part time positions at our pools across Albion Park, Oak Flats, Warilla and our ocean pool
* 15.2 hours per week with a commencing salary range from $446.48 per week for the 15.2 hours per week
* 22.8 hours per week with a commencing salary range from $669.72 per week for the 22.8 hours per week
* Seasonal employment up to 29 March 2026 on a Monday to Sunday roster over a 7 day roster with the ability to work additional hours when required and approved
* Plus 12% superannuation
* Penalties are paid in addition for Saturday/Sunday work and public holidays

* These positions requires a current "Working with Children Check" clearance in accordance with the 'Child Protection (WWC) Act 2012 for Paid workers
* A First Aid Certificate is an essential requirement of this position, therefore no allowance is payable.
