AOD Peer Worker Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced AOD peer worker to join our team. As an AOD peer worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents in our AOD withdrawal program by sharing your lived experience of treatment and recovery from substance use.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others while also continuing your own journey of recovery. You will be working with a skilled, multidiscipline team that provides a full suite of AOD treatments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver program material from the perspective of a peer with a successful treatment experience.
* Provide support and encouragement to residents, as well as those on the waitlist, preadmission group, and aftercare clients.
* Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Lived alcohol and drug experience, preferably with participation in treatment at an accredited Therapeutic Community.
* A minimum of 2 years successfully engaged in work, volunteering or study after graduating from an AOD residential program or similar treatment service.
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skills and clear speaking skills.
* Ability to maintain clear boundaries and engage in self-reflection.
* Ideal qualifications include a Diploma in AOD and Mental Health or willingness to complete AOD Skillset whilst in employment.
