This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in transactional finance who enjoys both processing and problem solving. You'll oversee core financial functions while also supporting and guiding a small team. The focus will be on maintaining accurate data, improving internal processes, and ensuring timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and review daily financial transactions including invoicing, purchase orders, and receipting
* Provide guidance and support to a small finance team, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers on finance queries and documentation
* Monitor workflow systems and follow up outstanding items as required
* Prepare reports and assist with month-end processes
* Support vendor setup and changes, maintaining up-to-date records
* Contribute to ongoing improvements across financial systems and procedures
About You:
* Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Business, or Finance (minimum required)
* Experience in a finance or accounts role, with exposure to AP, AR, or end-to-end P2P processes
* Experience using ERP systems (JDEGS preferred, or similar platforms)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Comfortable working with data and following structured processes
* Good communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude
* Some prior experience supporting or mentoring others is a plus
