The Senior Cyber Solutions Architect plays a critical role in leading and optimising value streams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy while delivering impactful customer outcomes.

Senior Cyber Solutions Architect is someone who champions the customer perspective across the enterprise’s digital ecosystem. This role ensures that security, reliability, and performance are embedded into every stage of solution design and delivery.
Operating at the intersection of business strategy, technology architecture, and cyber security, the Senior Cyber Solutions Architect drives the strategy in relation to the integration of security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, Essential Eight) to protect platforms, data, and services.
With deep expertise in secure solution architecture, cloud-native technologies, and Descopes practices, the role drives value creation by aligning technical roadmaps to customer and business outcomes and identifying opportunities for adopting AI technology.
Success in this role means architecting cyber security and delivery requirements into solutions defined by clear, actionable designs, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the enterprise consistently delivers secure, high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
•Architect will manage the execution of enterprise-wide security strategies Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external)
•Collaborate actively in Agile planning processes to align objectives and strategy
•Regularly assess and adjust priorities based on evolving enterprise needs and customer requirements
•Validate requirements and ensure feasibility
•Evaluate and select technologies
•Oversee solution implementation with IPT’s
•Deliver exceptional customer value in every increment
•Oversee the enterprise-wide framework to ensure comprehensive security policies and procedures are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
•Drive security and performance standards adoption and compliance
•Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the teams
•Provide reporting to the internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience
•Extensive knowledge of defence and government security regulations and standards.
•Understanding of AI technology trends and how to leverage AI for business efficiency
•Demonstrated success in translating customer needs into actionable solutions and prioritising work to maximise value
•Knowledge and proficiency of SAFe Lean-Agile principles
•Familiarity with Agile tools including Jira and Confluence
•Strong business acumen and customer-centric approach
•Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications
* Qualifications bachelor’s or master’s degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, business administration or operations management, or a related technical field (essential).
* Master’s degree and relevant certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Security Clearance
Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Defence experience is desirable.
