About the Role and Team
The role is a Registrar – Palliative Care within the North West Region, working with a team of palliative care consultants and registrars across the MCH, NWRH, and community settings.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day palliative care for inpatient, aged care, and community settings.
* Liaise and collaborate with treating clinicians for public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital, Aged Care and Community settings.
* Maintain accreditation with GP colleges, Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Qualifications
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Accreditation for Extended Skills training (RACGP) and Advanced Skills training (RACP) in Palliative Care.
* Background checks: crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, identification, and prior employment disciplinary action.
Salary
Medical Practitioner Level 5 – 11: $134,930 – $189,005 per annum, 12% superannuation, and salary packaging.
